It's actually a joke that Deadcode only made updates for Worms Armageddon. In the end, due to the updates from Deadcode for Worms Armageddon, this has of course shifted to the predecessor (Worms Armageddon). The strange thing is that Worms World Party was originally adapted for online play (especially for the Sega Dreamcast).

They'd be better off implementing said features from WWP into WA, so more people have access to them. So yeah, even though WWP has all the features I mentioned in my third paragraph, WA is still far superior because it's easier to use and easier to play.

There's probably more features in WA that are lacking in WWP, but that's all I can think of at the top of my head.

It doesn't take a genius to know that something's not adding up here.īut I think it's very telling that WA gets updates to this day (the most recent being the 3.8 update which came out on the 16th of July, 2020), whereas WWP hasn't been updated since the 20th of October, 2015, it's last update being 1.134.

Then when I look online in WWP, I couldn't find a single person online, whereas in WA, I could find at least 20. WTF? End the game and show me the results screen. This is annoying because in WA, the crate drops fast automatically (except in missions for some reason).Īlso, whenever I play a CPU vs CPU game in WWP, whenever I set the game to one win and a team wins, the game restarts like that win never happened. To make it drop faster, I have to press the spacebar.

Maybe I have to unlock them first, but I have no idea how to do that. So if I get bored of a game, I can't simply draw the round to end the game I have to complete the game to get to the results screen, and if it's a draw, I have to do the game all over again.Īlso in WWP, I can't access weapons like the MB Bomb or the Indian Nuclear Test like I can in WA. Plus there's no option in WWP to have zero rounds to win a game. For example if I wanted to play Intermediate with one round instead of two, I can simply right-click and it will change from two to one, whereas with WWP, I have to click five times to get from two to one. Come on guys, it's 2020, not 1995.Īnother thing you can do in WA that you can't in WWP is use the right-click to change options. For one thing, you can use the scroller on the mouse, which you can't do in WWP. When you get to the local multiplayer game, the scheme editing so SO much easier in WA. WA has a slew of advanced options that WWP doesn't have, such as auto skipping the intro, offline rope knocking, loading WormKit modules and many others.

WA recently implemented windowed mode, so you don't have to play full screen anymore, whereas WWP has to be played full screen. WWP has an intro that's easily skipped, but WA skips the intro entirely by default, booting straight to the main menu. The second reason comes when you boot up the games themselves. Sure it's easy to do, but why do I gotta do that? WA has no problems with this whatsoever. The first reason is that WWP has white blotches on the screen until you disable full-screen optimisations. Now WWP may have features such as Wormpots, Multiplayer-Missions, User Created Missions and the Wormopedia, but it still can't hold a candle to WA.

Many of you probably already know this, but WA is a far superior game than it's sequel, WWP. TL DR: Worms Armageddon (WA) is better than Worms World Party (WWP).
